Tras sus últimos éxitos en nuestra casa, el pianista Chico Pérez vuelve al Café Berlín y lo hace junto a su banda en un concierto en el que hará un recorrido por los temas que forman sus dos últimos lanzamientos: “Gruserías” y “Continente 27”. Reconocido como uno de los músicos con más proyección del panorama musical, ha pasado por los festivales de jazz más importantes de nuestro país colgando el cartel de SOLD OUT en el Festival internacional de Jazz de Madrid, 57ed Festival Jazzaldía en San Sebastián, Festival de Jazz de Cartagena o el festival de jazz #SesiónB de Burgos.

Chico Pérez nos trae música original que busca en el flamenco su raíz para encontrarse con la interpretación contemporánea. Momentos de improvisación jazzística, estructuras compositivas clásicas o melodías de soul se entrelazan para crear un estilo único.

“Continente 27” ha sido producido junto a su hermano, el guitarrista flamenco Luis Víctor Pérez. Juntos han creado este universo musical en el que encontraremos instrumentos tales como sintetizadores, cuarteto de cuerda, bajo eléctrico, batería o voces soul y flamencas acompañando al principal protagonista, el piano.

Dentro de las giras de conciertos que ha realizado por teatros y festivales de la geografía española ha compartido cartel con artistas de la talla de Diego Amador, Israel Fernández, Chucho Valdés, Pat Metheny, Arcángel, Dorantes, Farruquito, Tomatito, Ron Carter, Rocío Márquez, Andrea Motis, Antonio Lizana , etc.

En 2022 ha sido nominado en los Premios de la Música (Premios MIN) en la categoría de Mejor Álbum Flamenco y seleccionado entre más de 240 aspirantes como “Artista Jazz Eñe 2022” . Además en 2018 obtuvo el Premio Talento Joven y Artista RTVE y en 2019 con su primer disco “Gruserías” fue nombrado por el diario El País como uno de los mejores discos flamencos del año.
