FM 5TET emerged in 2022, as a result of a great friendship between trombonist Feldeman Oliveira and saxophonist Marlon Cordeiro. After many afternoons studying together, good exchanges of ideas and compositions, friendship evolved and the album “Ângulos” (angles) was born.This album marks an important moment in the lives of both musicians and sums up some years of this partnership.

The name of the album came from the idea of not defining a specific style for the work. Five authorial compositions and two re-recordings were chosen, which culminated in a very plural work and rich in sound.The album goes through modern jazz, samba, “partido alto”, bolero, waltz and still has the calmness of a jazz ballad.

The duo contemplated Brazilian instrumental music in a broad way, bringing elements of universal music and incorporating them into their musical creations, from compositions to improvisation sessions.

FM 5TET surgió en 2022, fruto de una gran amistad entre el trombonista Feldeman Oliveira y el saxofonista Marlon Cordeiro. Después de muchas tardes de estudio juntos, buenos intercambios de ideas y composiciones, la amistad evolucionó y nació el disco “Ângulos”. Este disco marca un momento importante en la vida de ambos músicos y resume algunos años de esta asociación..

El nombre del álbum surgió de la idea de no definir un estilo específico para el trabajo. Se eligieron cinco composiciones de autor y dos regrabaciones, que culminaron en una obra muy plural y rica en sonido. El disco transita por el jazz moderno, la samba, el partido alto, el bolero, el vals y aún conserva la serenidad de una balada de jazz.

El dúo contempló la música instrumental brasileña de manera amplia, trayendo elementos de la música universal e incorporándolos a sus creaciones musicales, desde composiciones hasta sesiones de improvisación.

FM 5TETは2022年、トロンボーン奏者のフェルデマン・オリヴェイラ( Feldeman Oliveira)とサックス奏者のマーロン・コルデイロ(Marlon Cordeiro)の素晴らしい友情の結果、誕生した。このアルバムは、2人のミュージシャンの人生における重要な瞬間であり、このパートナーシップの数年間を総括している。

アルバムの名前は、作品に特定のスタイルを定義しないという考えから付けられました。このアルバムは、モダンジャズ、サンバ、パルティード・アルト、ボレロ、ワルツを経て、ジャズ・バラードのような落ち着きもある作品だ。

このデュオは、ブラジルのインストゥルメンタル音楽を幅広く考察し、普遍的な音楽の要素を持ち込んで、作曲から即興セッションまで、音楽創作に取り込んでいる。
