Hikari Ichirara studied Jazz at Tokyo's famed Senzoku Gakuen College of Music, where many musicians have taught and done clinics including members from The Count Basie Orchestra amongst others. Hikari is as fine a trumpet player as she is a composer, a review of her recordings reveal a real knack for composition and arranging. Back a few years ago while in New York City she recorded an album with musicians from CBS TV show, The Late Show which featured the great Victor Lewis on drums and George Mraz on bass. This quartet will delight you with it's fine music, and introspective moods and nuances. The band is trumpet, alto sax, guitar and bass, a unique blend of sounds, allowing for dreamy and colorful expression.

市原ひかりはカウント・ベイシー・オーケストラのメンバーなど多くのミュージシャンが指導する東京の有名な洗足学園音楽大学でジャズを学んだ。 ひかりはトランペット奏者であると同時に作曲家であり、彼女の作品を聴いてみると、作曲やアレンジの才能があることがわかる。 数年前、ニューヨークでCBSのテレビ番組「レイト・ショー」のミュージシャンと一緒にアルバムを録音したことがある。 このカルテットは、その素晴らしい音楽と哲学的なムードやニュアンスで楽しませてくれる。 バンドの編成はトランペット、アルトサックス、ギター、ベースというユニークな音のブレンドで、夢のような色彩豊かな表現を可能にしている。
