Mat Jodrell, as Miles said "I can tell if a cat can play, just by the way he holds his horn." Mat is definitely holding his horn the right way. He set off for The Big Apple some years ago, and completed his Masters at Julliard. Soon after he was asked to join the faculty and teach. Mat has played with Ron Carter, Benny Golson, Maria Schneider amongst others, and leads his own band. Since returning to Australia, he's quickly rocked the jazz scene down under, and found his own unique voice on trumpet.
