Named after the famed Park Avenue in New York City, the Sextet led by Hank Mobley influenced tenor saxophonist Masanori Okazaki keeps the mainstream Blue Note Record sound alive and vibrant.

Mr. Okazaki, who studied at Berklee School Of Music in Boston is a veteran of the Tokyo Jazz scene and a long time member of Eric Miyashiro’s Big Band. Masanori leads his fine sextet of tenor sax, trumpet and trombone for two sets of toe tapping jazz that takes us back to fine recorded sounds of the late 50s and 60s.

Having studied arranging at Berklee and saxophone with the great George Garzone, he carries on the lineage and style of the jazz masters.

Masanori brings a set of new arrangements for his two sets at Body and Soul, and the show delivers mature and beautiful sounds for the audience at the club and on Oh! Jazz.
