Fabrica de Arte Cubano presents The New York/Cuba Collective. Havana Jazz Festival 2023 edition.

The New York/Cuba Collective is a project created by Yamaha Artist, Cuban pianist and composer Dayramir González with the purpose to highlight the musical spirit of two cities: New York and Havana, Jazz and Cuban Music: Afro Cuban Jazz.

This project features some of the in-demand musicians from today's New York jazz scene. Each of them are leaders of their own projects as well as brilliant composers, arrangers, performers and improvisers which focus on original compositions and arrangements in the styles of Bebop, contemporary jazz, AfroCuban rhythms.

On Bass James Robbins, Drums Tiago Michelin, Percussion Takafumi Nikaido and two special guests: Saxophonist and educator Chad Lefkowitz-Brown and maestro Aaron Goldberg on piano/keys.

“The closing night was at Fabrica de Arte Cubano. Oh my, what a concert, what an energy! The audience was so frenetic and connected that the 90 min show flew like it was only 5! A sea of people, smiles and souls who listened, danced and smiled to the compass of our AfroCuban Jazz” Dayramir, founder.

The educational part of it was also important. We gave masterclass, clinics and workshops in three music conservatories: Amadeo Roldán, National School of Arts (ENA) and Guillermo Tomas. “We had a blast witnessing the immense talent these young students have and how appreciative they were when receiving the advices and knowledge shared by our guest artists”

The New York/Cuba Collective es un proyecto creado por el cubano Dayramir González; artista de Yamaha, pianista y compositor, con el propósito de destacar el espíritu musical de Nueva York y La Habana, la música música jazz de Cuba: Jazz AfroCubano.

Este proyecto incluye a algunos de los artistas más demandados de escena del jazz de Nueva York de hoy en día. Cada uno líder de sus propios poyectos, así como compositores, improvisadores, arreglistas e intérpretes brillantes, quienes se enfocan en composiciones originales en los estilos bepbop, jazz contemporáneo y rítmos afro cubanos.

The New York/Cuba Collectiveは、ヤマハアーティストのキューバ人ピアニストで作曲家のデイラミール・ゴンサレス（Dayramir González）が、 ニューヨークとハバナ、ジャズとキューバ音楽と、２つの都市の音楽的スピリットを強調するために立ち上げたプロジェクトだ。

このプロジェクトには、今日のニューヨーク・ジャズ・シーンで注目されているミュージシャンたちが参加している。彼らはそれぞれ自身のプロジェクトのリーダーであると同時に、ビ・バップ、コンテンポラリー・ジャズ、アフロ・キューバン・リズムのスタイルによるオリジナル曲やアレンジに焦点を当てた優れた作曲家やアレンジャー、演奏家にインプロバイザーでもある。

ベースはジェームス・ロビンス(James Robbins)、ドラムスはティアゴ・ミシュラン(Tiago Michelin)、パーカッションは二階堂貴文、そして2人のスペシャル・ゲスト、 サックス奏者で教育者でもあるチャド・レフコウィッツ＝ブラウン(Chad Lefkowitz-Brown )と、ピアノ／キーボード奏者の巨匠アーロン・ゴールドバーグ(Aaron Goldberg)だ。

O Coletivo Nova York/Cuba é um projeto criado pelo cubano Dayramir González; Artista, pianista e compositor da Yamaha, com o objetivo de destacar o espírito musical de Nova York e Havana, o jazz de Cuba: o AfroCuban Jazz.

Este projeto inclui alguns dos artistas mais requisitados da cena do jazz de Nova York atualmente.
